(E-Game) Transformers War for Cybertron Empty
PostSubject: (E-Game) Transformers War for Cybertron   (E-Game) Transformers War for Cybertron EmptySat May 29, 2010 2:18 am

Update: This Game is scheduled to be released on June 22, 2010. Which is this month!

(E-Game) Transformers War for Cybertron S10

Transformers: War for Cybertron is an upcoming video game developed by High Moon Studios and published by Activision for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and scheduled to be released on June 22, 2010. Hasbro also has a toy line releasing in 2010 based on the video game. The Wii version of the game, called Transformers: Cybertron Adventures is being developed by Next Level Games

Gameplay
Transformers: War for Cybertron is a 3rd person high-action shooter that allows the player to play as a Transformer in the era prior to their coming to Earth. Players can play two campaigns (Autobot and Decepticon) alone or cooperatively, or go head to head with online multiplayer game modes.

Multiplayer
War for Cybertron has several multiplayer modes to choose from. "Escalation" is a mode for exclusive pre-order characters. Non-stop waves of robots attack until the player(s) are defeated, similar to Gears of War "Horde" mode. "Deathmatch" is a free-for-all game type where the player with the most kills at the end of the game is the winner. In "Team Deathmatch" players are divided into Autobot and Decepticon teams. The winning team is the one who earns the most kills. "Conquest" is a capture-and-hold style game, similar to the conquest mode found in the Star Wars Battlefront series. In "Countdown to Extinction" players must take an active bomb and place it at an enemy base, similar to the Assault mode in the Halo series. "Power Struggle" is the game's equivalent to the common Capture the Flag game type. Finally "Code of Power" is a mode consisting of two and a half minute rounds where teams vie for a giant melee weapon.

Competitive multiplayer games do not allow use of canon Transformers. Players must create their own Transformer based on the class they wish to play which determines their vehicle form. They may then choose a specific look for that form, and customize the color scheme, weaponry and abilities they take into battle. The exception to this rule seems to be the yet-unrevealed 'Escalation' mode which is the only mode bonus pre-order characters (Shockwave, Jazz, and Demolisher) may be utilized in. Classes include a "Leader" class, a "Soldier" class, a "Scientist" class, and a "Scout" class, each with unique abilities and weapon loadouts.

Synopsis

Plot
In Transformers: War for Cybertron, the Decepticon campaign takes place before the Autobot campaign. In the Decpeticon campaign Megatron is fighting to return Cybertron to his version of the "golden age", using means he considers necessary. In the Autobot campaign, the Autobot leader, Zeta Prime, has been killed and Optimus temporarily takes up the mantle of leadership and begins recruiting new transformers to the Autobot cause to fight Megatron and the Decepticons.

Setting
The setting is the planet Cybertron before contact is made with the planet Earth. The native sentient beings are at war with one another. A group of like minded robots have split off of the main faction to become Decepticons under their leader, Megatron. The leader of the Autobots, Zeta Prime, is killed leaving behind an inexperienced leader: Optimus, who must lead his forces to prevent Megatron from finding the legendary dark energon.

Characters

Autobots

Optimus Prime: Voiced by Peter Cullen. In battle, he carries his energon axe. Optimus Prime is the heroic leader of the Autobots. He is both brave and compassionate, inspiring greatness in those who follow him. Optimus has a strong sense of justice and righteousness and has dedicated himself to the protection of all sentient life; he will battle his foes with unyielding resolve to uphold this belief. Even the leader of the Decepticons, Megatron, begrudgingly admits his respect for Optimus. One of the most heroic figures in the history of Cybertron, Optimus will take center stage in the Autobot story where players will experience his growth as a powerful leader and force for good. He is armed with a unique weapon in his robot form and is a Cybertronian armored transport as his vehicle form.

Arcee: A female Autobot that transforms into a Cybertronian car.

Air Raid: Scout who turns into a Cybertronian jet. Fearless and rash, Air Raid is always ready for a fight. He prefers diving head first into a pack of Decepticons rather than shooting them from afar because it’s more fun. That is his only real goal in life; to have fun. This attitude always seems to place him and his fellows in danger, but he always manages to get himself and his friends out of it.

Bumblebee: Voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch. A scout who transforms into a Cybertronian racer. Being one of the smallest of the Autobots, Bumblebee excels in the art of espionage and reconnaissance. His small stature allows him the opportunity to get places his friends could not. He deeply admires his larger, more physically capable teammates and does his best to emulate them. He does not realize, however, that they deeply admire him for his dedication and skill. He is a capable fighter and devoted friend that has the respect he so deeply craves.

Grimlock:

Ironhide: A Cybertronian truck. Ironhide is the oldest Autobot on the team. He is the slowest Autobot on the team. He is also the meanest, toughest, orneriest Autobot on the team. He is most definitely yesterday's model, but he was built to last - seemingly forever. He is a soldier, first and foremost, but his tough exterior hides a deep compassion for life. He is one of Optimus' most trusted advisers on all matters.

Jazz: Transforms into a Cybertronian car. Unlockable multiplayer exclusive for pre-ordering at Best Buy.

Jetfire: A Cybertronian jet. Jetfire is dedicated to the pursuit of science and believes technology will ultimately give the Autobots victory over the Decepticons. Jetfire keeps himself completely cutting edge and up to date, making him the fastest Autobot ever created. Jetfire became an Autobot after disagreeing with the methods used by the Decepticons and Starscream in-particular.

Omega Supreme: A giant Transformer who appears as a level boss in the Decepticon campaign.

Ratchet: A Cybertronian truck. Ratchet is the Autobots' Chief Medical Officer. Although not a mighty warrior when compared to the likes of Optimus Prime or Ironhide, Ratchet still often finds himself in the center of battle. His dry wit helps him through it all and he is always there after the battle to patch up his friends. As you would expect, he gives his wounded comrades a hard time for taking the hits that a Medical Officer somehow managed to avoid!

Sideswipe: Transforms into a Cybertronian car. Sideswipe is built for speed. Whether that's in combat or out of it, he moves fast. Very fast. He enjoys the thrill of battle, but more for the sport and competitiveness than the end goal. Being very competitive, Sideswipe will do anything he can to win, cheating notwithstanding. Nothing is out of the question when everything is on the line. Some call him reckless and brash, but he does what it takes to win. Every time.

Silverbolt: A Cybertronian jet. Silverbolt is a grim and brave warrior, who often worries more about his teammates than himself. He is courageous, can fly at break-neck speeds and truly believes in the Autobot cause. He would die in defense of his friends if ever given the opportunity.

Warpath: A Cybertronian tank. Warpath is loud, confident, skilled and devoted to his fellow Autobots. He is also partially deaf from his exceptionally large cannon. His most favorite past time is showing his friends how he can split a hex nut a mile and a half away with his tank gun. Extremely well armored to go along with his extreme stubbornness and thick skull, Warpath always loves to press the battle to the Decepticons.
Zeta Prime: Leader of the Autobot Army prior to the rise of Optimus Prime. He is a non-player character who is killed early in the story.

Decepticons

Megatron: A hover tank. In battle he carries a large purple mace. Megatron is the very powerful and utterly ruthless leader of the Decepticons. His imposing robot form is dominated by his primary weapon - his arm-mounted fusion cannon, capable of leveling a city block in one blast. Those Decepticons that serve him faithfully may find themselves rewarded, but the moment they fall, they will be discarded and made an example of. Megatron is very intelligent, but oftentimes blinded by his own ruthless ambition.

Barricade: A Cybertronian car. Barricade is a true speed demon, powering his engine to speeds faster than some jets. He is a brutal leader on the battlefield, scolding Decepticons that do not perform up to his and Megatron's standards. His favorite tactic is to goad Autobots into transforming and chasing him, then taking the Autobots on fatal routes that only he can navigate.

Brawl: A Cybertronian tank. Brawl is Megatron's pet weapon of mass destruction. He loves nothing more than ripping Autobots limb from limb. He is obsessed with explosions and chaotic, unending combat. He often times thrusts himself to the front lines of battle at the risk of his own spark, not caring whether or not he lives or dies as long as he takes an Autobot with him.

Breakdown: Scout who turns into a Cybertronian car. Breakdown is a very capable Decepticon warrior, but has one main underlying problem. He is extremely paranoid that everyone and everything is out to get him. Being in crowded places is nerve wracking for Breakdown, as he feels like everyone is staring at him, judging him. He just wants to blend in and do the duty that the Decepticons require of him in anonymity.

Demolishor: A soldier who transforms into a Cybertronian tank. Unlockable multiplayer exclusive for pre-ordering the game from Amazon.com.

Shockwave: Transforms into a Cybertronian jet. Can be unlocked in Multiplayer mode with a unique code from GameStop.

Skywarp: A scout who turns into a Cybertronian jet (seeker). Skywarp possesses cloaking technology which he uses to show destruction upon his enemies. Skywarp isn't the most intelligent Transformers character in the Decepticon force, so he needs to be continually guided and told what to do. Regardless, once set upon a path, Skywarp will achieve his goal with quiet, ruthless efficiency.

Slipstream: A female Decepticon that transforms into a Cybertronian jet.

Soundwave: Soundwave is one of Megatron's most dependable troops and as such has positioned himself in Megatron's upper command structure. He operates as the Decepticon Communications Officer and answers only to Megatron. Many of the Decepticons see Soundwave as a backstabber who blackmails others to raise his esteem with Megatron. Soundwave sees and hears all. Transforms into a Cybertronian truck.

Starscream: A Cybertronian jet (seeker). Starscream is best known as the second-in-command of the Decepticons. He makes no secret of his ambition to overthrow Megatron as Decepticon leader, however. He is more intelligent than the average Decepticon, ruthless, and cruel, but he is also unlikely to directly set on his ultimate ambition without assurance of conditions favorable to his ascension. Starscream believes that both Optimus Prime and Megatron have lost sight of what is best for the Cybertronian race and simply pursue their own agendas. For the good of his species, he believes a new leader must emerge. He would be that leader.

Thundercracker: A Cybertronian jet (seeker). Serving alongside Starscream and Skywarp, Thundercracker is a part of the main force of the flying fleet of the Decepticons. Thundercracker despises those that cannot take flight and views himself as being superior to those that cannot. He reigns supreme in the air, having excellent skills in aerial combat and maneuvers. Thundercracker sometimes questions the Decepticon cause, but imagining Megaton's wrath always quiets his discontent.

Trypticon: A giant Transformer who appears as a level boss during the Autobot campaign.

What's with the look LOL, I bet your laptop/desktop is running windows as the operating system. So probably you'll be able to play it depending on your hardware specifications. Wink
